Mary Hernandez

Mary Inez Hernandez, beloved Mother, 72, passed away on January 28, 2024 in her home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children; Delilah Pedroza, Samson Pedroza and Joseph (Christie) Pedroza. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Aaron (Becca) Pedroza, Daniel Mendoza, Nicholas Gutierrez, Samson D. Pedroza, Joseph (Maria Elena) Pedroza and Makayla Pedroza, and her great-grandchildren; Mason Pedroza-Lopez, Caspian Pedroza-Lopez and Haizlyee Inez Pedroza. She also leaves behind the love of her life, Guadalupe Hernandez.

Mom will be remembered by the love she had for all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being surrounded by family whether it be her sisters or her kids and grand kids. She was the heart of our family and will be missed dearly. We were blessed to be able to care for her through her last days as this was her wish. Her faith in God was strong and she read her bible often. She loved attending church when she was able to and her faith is what got her through the roughest part of her journey.

She is preceded in death by her parents Felipe and Maria Maestas, her brother's; Augustine Willie Maestas, Eddie Maestas and Herman Chris Maestas, her sisters; Ida Jean Chavez, Connie Mascarenas, and Carmen Jimenez.

A very special thanks to those who helped me care for mom during her last years; Samson Pedroza for all of his support in helping me over the past few years with mom's care, Louisa Maestas for always being there when mom needed anything, Guadalupe Hernandez for all the emotional support that meant the world to mom during her last days, US Renal Care, and Gentiva Hospice.

A visitation will be held at Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, New Mexico on Friday, February 02, 2024 at 10:00 am.

The celebration of life will be held at Steed Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, New Mexico on Friday, February 02, 2024 at 11:00 am with burial following at Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery.
