Mary Reyes

Mary C. Reyes, 92, passed away on December 15, 2016 in Garland Texas.

A Family Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, December 19, 2016, at Iglesia Belen, 9th and Reid St., Clovis NM. Pastor Pedro Escobar will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Gardens Cemetery in Clovis, NM. Casket Bearers are her grandsons: Christian Embach, Carlos Guzman, Sergio Guzman, Anthony Moretti, Ray Rodriguez, Michael Guzman, Giovani Guzman, Scott Ranson & Joshua Waller.

Mary was born January 4, 1924 to Felipe Reyes and Catarina Gonzalez. Mary worked for the AT&SF Railroad for 30 years as a coach cleaner and retired. Mary was one of the founding members of the First Spanish Baptist Church in the 1970's which eventually became a Spanish mission under Forrest Heights Baptist Church.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Max Reyes, Jesus Reyes, and Jose Reyes, son, Jimmy Reyes, grandson, Juan Antonio Guzman, great granddaughter Gina Embach, and grandson, Ralph Guzman.

Mary is survived by her children, Gloria (Bruce) Audino, Fairview TX, Johnny (Mary) Guzman, Plano TX, Ralph (Mirna) Guzman, Plano TX, Mary Lou Guzman, Austin TX, Raymond Guzman, Plano TX, Vangie Guzman, Plano TX, Trini (Susy) Guzman, Austin TX, two granddaughters raised in her home, Linda (Leo) Pena, Espanola NM, Tracy (Jordan) Tapia, Garland TX, three nieces, Nea Garcia, San Jon NM, Jenny Champ, Las Vegas NV, Mary Reyes, Clovis NM. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
