Mary Tillman

Mary Lou Tillman, age 78, of Clovis, NM, passed away at Clovis Healthcare and Rehab Center on December 10, 2013.

Mary Lou was born on January 26, 1935 in Konowa, Oklahoma to Oral and Mollie West Cavett. She married Major Tillman on November 12, 1963 in Ft. Sumner, NM. She was a lifelong resident of the Clovis and Grady communities. She and her husband farmed and ranched in the Grady community for many years until she moved to Clovis. She loved her daily bible readings and going to church. Mary Lou loved to garden and raise roses. She also loved to go fishing. She was a member of Forrest Heights Baptist Church.

Mary Lou is survived by one son: Odie Tillman of Clovis, NM one grandson: Harold Willis of Levelland, TX one granddaughter: Carrie Martin of Austin, TX two brothers: Ray Cavett of Clovis, NM and Roman Cavett of Portales, NM and one sister: Marie Hawley of Decatur, AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents her husband: Major Tillman one daughter: Patricia one son: Harold Willis two brothers: Raymond Eugene Cavett and Bobby Joe Cavett and one sister Peggy Louella Cavett.

Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, NM with Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery in Grady, NM. Casket bearers are Glen Wortham, Warren Wortham, Keith Cavett and Mark Cavett. Honorary casket bearers are all of Mary Lous friends.
