Mary Ybarra

Mary T. Ybarra, age 88, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on September 15, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas.

A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis, New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday September 21, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis, New Mexico with Father Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, New Mexico. Pallbearers are Shawn Ybarra, Stephen Ybarra, Richard Ybarra, Frank Perez, Henry Perez and Alan Sinclair.

Mary was born Wellington, Kansas to J.J. and Delores Torres on March 18, 1925. She married Frank Ybarra on June 27, 1942 in Wellington, Kansas. Mary was a LVN for thirty years at Clovis Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic minister. She received the medal of Saint Francis of Assisi for her service of fifty years at Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, J.J and Delores, her husband Frank, her two sisters Sally and Ester, and her brother Manuel.

Mary is survived by her sisters: Margaret Sinclair of Belen, New Mexico and Clara Whipple, of Lawrence, Massachusetts two sons: Richard Ybarra of Lubbock, Texas and Frank Ybarra of Elbert, Colorado five grandchildren: Victoria, Shawn, Stephen, Richard and Rebecca and one great grandson: Christopher.
