Maurine Horner

Maurine Fly Horner, 80, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born February 27, 1928 in Chriesman, Texas, to Roy Dovie Hill McManus.

She moved to Clovis as a child in 1938 and graduated from Clovis High School in 1945. She married Leonard Fly in May of 1945 in San Antonio, Texas. She married Frank Horner in 1978. She worked for the ASCS Office for 25 years, retiring in 1977. After she retired from the ASCS Office she worked as the bookkeeper for Colonial Park Country Club for many years. She was a member of Central Christian Church and taught Sunday School for over 30 years.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Vickie Ross Kenneth of and 1 son, Gary Fly Joey all of Clovis; 8 grandchildren, Jeff Robbi Actkinson, Gary Jr. Katherine Fly, Kirk Emily Fly, Jody Brooke Fly, Dawnette Brian Hale, Kevin Keela Ross, Kyle Kimberly Ross and Flyshia Ross and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009, at Central Christian Church with Minister Bill Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.

Casket bearers will be grandsons, Gary Fly Jr., Kirk Fly, Jody Fly, Kevin Ross, Kyle Ross Jeff Actkinson.
