Max W. Ford passed away at All Care Assisted Living in Clovis, New Mexico on Monday, December 26, 2011. He was born February 19, 1929 in Bellview, New Mexico at a farm house in the middle of a blowing snow storm, to Ray and Lacy Ford. Max graduated from Farwell High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and after, attended college at Eastern New Mexico University.

Max met Annabel Lea and after a two week courtship they were married on October 24, 1953 and spent 53 wonderful years together. They raised three children and enjoyed time with them and their grandchildren. He was a car salesman for 36 years and also spent a small amount of time selling real estate.

Max enjoyed the outdoors and loved to upland game hunt and fish with his family. He was a member of the High Plains Good Sams Club and was always ready to take the RV some place new. He was preceded in death by his wife Annabel parents: Ray and Lucy Ford stepmother: Jenoyce Ford and his sisters: Maxine Williams and Connie Welch.

He is survived by his children: Steven and wife Pam of Punta Gorda, Florida Dianna Hunt of Clovis, New Mexico and Douglas and wife Jane of Clovis, New Mexico brothers: Don Ford of Ft. Worth, Texas and Steven Butch Ford of San Marcos, Texas and sister: Jo Karen Jones of San Angelo, Texas. Max had ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at the SteedTodd Chapel with Gary Ford officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Mission Garden of Memories.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
