Maxine Ruth Goldsmith of Clovis, NM passed away on October 6, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 25 at 1:00PM at Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Maxine was born on December 3, 1930 in Clovis, NM and graduated from Clovis High School. She worked as a clerk at Stansell's Thriftway for over 42 years and her co-workers were an important part of her extended family.
Maxine was an avid bowler for much of her life. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and watching TV, particularly watching Tiger Woods play golf and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. She loved to sit on the deck in the mountains at Angel Fire and read and enjoyed fishing.
Maxine was preceded in death by her mother Daisy Rasco, her stepfather George Rasco, her father Numa VanZandt, her husband Jack Goldsmith, brother Don VanZandt, sister Eva Nix, on e son Tommy Farmer, one daughter Terri Farmer, three stepbrothers and two step sisters.
Maxine is survived by her son Ricky Farmer of Arlington, TX, daughter Lona Jones of Clovis, NM, daughter Cheryl Head and husband James Head of Rio Rancho, NM, daughter Jan Jones and husband Harlan Jones of Clovis, NM, son Buddy Farmer of Clovis, NM, daughter Robin Williams and husband Dean Williams of Clovis, NM, son Jerry Don Farmer of Irving, TX, brother E.L. VanZandt and wife Martha VanZandt of Levelland, TX, brother Jerry Rasco of Albuquerque, NM, nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grand children.
