Melba Jewel Williams, age 67, of Clovis, New Mexico entered into rest on December 26, 2011 at her home in Clovis, New Mexico.
Melba was born February 20, 1944 in Clovis, New Mexico to Edgar and Pearl McGruder Hough. She graduated from high school in Melrose, New Mexico in 1962. She married Billy Williams April 8, 1969 in Melrose, New Mexico. She attended First Baptist Church in Melrose until 2000, when she moved to Clovis, New Mexico. She then became a member of Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico. She liked to travel, read and cross stitch. She loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Billy, of the home two daughters: Rebecca Mark McDonald of Portales, New Mexico and Michelle Williams of Clovis, New Mexico six grandchildren: Lynne McDonald, Mark McDonald Jr., Kimber McDonald, John McDonald, Hannah McDonald and Maye Williams and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother, Jesse Hough.
Family Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2011 at SteedTodd Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 800 E Manana Blvd, Clovis, New Mexico.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico with Pastor Bruce Kirby officiating and Wayne Boydstum assisting. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, New Mexico.
Casket bearers will be all the Deacons at Parkland Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and Parkland Baptist Church.
