Melinda Hollaways Celebration of Life

Melinda Hollaway, 62, of Melrose NM passed away on Wednesday July 30th, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm Monday August 4th, 2014 in Melrose, NM at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery.
Melinda was born in Carlsbad, NM to Kenneth and LaVetta Reed on 62352. She went to school in Melrose, NM. Melinda married the love of her life on 62770 in Melrose and was blessed with 3 beautiful children. Melinda was known as a selfless servant for the Lord. Serving and blessing kids for 34 years as a school bus driver and teachers aid, it was very dear to her heart. Melinda boldly always shared the word of the Lord to all who crossed her path. Melinda never missed the opportunity to watch her grandbabies in any activities that they were involved in. Melinda never met a stranger, and everyone she met, she touched.
Melinda was preceded in death by her dad Kenneth Reed. Melinda is survived by her husband Bill, daughter and spouse Dedra Daryl Martin of Melrose, NM, Son and spouse Casey Frona Hollaway of Melrose, NM, Son and spouse Wesley Dustie Hollaway of Albuquerque, NM. Sister and spouse Deanna Jim Hogg of Clovis, NM, mother LaVeeta Knight of Melrose, NM Grandmother Annie Pearl Lair of Melrose, NM, Grandchildren Jordan Beard, Jacoby Beard, Jaydan Beard, Hailey Martin, Nash Martin, Renise Hollaway, Zona Hollaway, Gauge Hollaway and Breelii Hollaway.
Pallbearers will be Paul Grider, Butch Hester, Shawn Perkins, Don Gunn, Jim Hogg and Gary Hollaway. Honorary pallbearers include All those that have been blessed by this amazing Lady

She will be ready for viewing from 16 pm on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at SteedTodd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2pm, Monday, August 4, 2014 at Melrose Baptist Church, with Pastor Durward Wolford officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery.
