Michael J Hardegree, age 43, of Clovis, NM, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at his home in Clovis after a courageous two and a half month battle with cancer. He was born on May 11, 1967 to Glenda Hill and Ray Hardegree in Clovis.
Michael was a Little League Allstar in the American League in Clovis, and played football at Texico. He loved working with tile and was extremely talented with woodworking. He was a loving, caring, and generous father, brother, son and friend. Michael loved spending time with Tammy and their dogs, Charley and Nub, on their ranch. He loved University of Oklahoma football and making barbecue sauce.
Michael is survived by the love of his life Tammy two brothers, Wendell Hardegree of Amarillo, TX, and James Carolyn Hardegree of Odessa, TX three sisters, Brenda Lytle, his twin Melinda Craddock, and Sarah Tim Hodson, all of Clovis daughter, Tabitha of Odessa, TX son, Dakota of Waurika, OK and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ray Hardegree, in 1988, and his mother, Glenda Simicsak in 2000.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at SteedTodd Chapel in Clovis, NM with Rev. Wayne Boydstun officiating. Casket bearers will be Wendell Hardegree, James Hardegree, Tim Hodson, Skyler Hodson, Jerry Holland and George Tidwell. Honorary casket bearers will be Michaels son, Dakota, and daughter, Tabitha, Roy Hardegree and Caston Hardegree.
