Mildred Hamilton

Mildred Hamilton, age 83, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on April 12, 2013 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

Mildred was born on November 20, 1929 to Willie Lee and Laura Smithey Sartain in Clayton, New Mexico. She married J.E. Hamilton on January 3, 1951 in Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1986. She enjoyed spending time with her family. After her husband, J.E., passed away, she remained very involved with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Forrest Heights Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Mildred is survived by one daughter: Debbie Mike Myers of Clovis, New Mexico two sons: Mike Jan Hamilton of Clovis, New Mexico and Rick Sherry Hamilton of Clovis, New Mexico one sister: May Mansfield of Wichita Falls, Texas two brothers: Earl Sartain of Belleview, Illinois and Jim Sartain of Amarillo, Texas six grandchildren: Lisha Barnes of Vista, California, Kristie Carsten Salm, Michele Rutter Blackburn, Matt Summer Myers, Derek Erika Hamilton and Jorde Michelle Hamilton, all of Clovis, New Mexico four greatgrandchildren: Connor Salm, Haley Blackburn, Hadyn Blackburn and Skylar Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and three sisters

Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis, New Mexico. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013 at SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Farril Defoor officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, New Mexico. Casket bearers will be Mildreds grandsons: Derek Hamilton, Jorde Hamilton, Matt Myers, Rutter Blackburn, Carsten Salm and Connor Salm.
