Montana Jones

Services for Montana D. Jones age 28 of Texico, New Mexico will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. CST at the First Baptist Church in Bovina, Texas with Pastor Steve Friskup officiating. Burial will follow at the Bovina Cemetery in Bovina, Texas with Kaleb Baker, Charles Bock, Juston Gibbs, Oscar Vidaurri, Justin Lide, Nathan Hughes, Devin Goettsch and Trenton Meeks serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Clemmer brother and friend and all class members of the class of 2005 of Farwell High School. A visitation will be held at Steed Todd Funeral Home Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. MST.

Montana was born June 7, 1985 to Joe Weldon and Denise Clements Jones in Clovis, New Mexico. He was a 2005 graduate of Farwell, Texas. He was active in the Ag program where he won State in welding, loved to shoot, music, was a practical joker, being with friends at bonfires, but most of all loved his family and had a best friend in his niece and nephews. He was a devoted and hard worker working for Schaap Dairy in Clovis. He attended the Cowboy Church in Muleshoe, Texas and as a child was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bovina, and was a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his mother Denise Jones of Portales, New Mexico two sisters DAnne Oscar Vidaurri of Hondo, Texas J.D. Jones of Clovis, New Mexico Logan Clemmer of Farwell, Texas nieces and nephews Kaleb and Kyleigh Baker both of Lubbock, Texas, and Trivian Clemmer of Clovis, New Mexico cousins Jana Greg Hallett of Lubbock, Texas, Joni Rogers of Lubbock, Texas, GiGi Houston of New Mexico, K.J. Luttrall of Rauls, Texas, Sean Clemments of Lubbock, Texas, and Blake Lenny Clemments of Lubbock, Texas. He is preceded in death by his Father, and grandparents J.T. and Tessie Jones and Jimmie and Gwen Clemments.
