Monty Mote

Monty Bill Mote, age 42, passed away unexpectedly at the homestead in Grady, New Mexico, on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Monty was born on August 15, 1968 to Bill and Marie Karr Mote in Clovis, New Mexico.

Monty lived his life in Grady farming and ranching. He never met a stranger. He loved animals, hunting, frog gigging, and visiting friends and family.

Monty is preceded in death by his grandparents, M.B. and Ora Lee Karr, and Paul and Edith Mote.

He is survived by his parents, Bill and Marie Mote sister, Leanne and her husband, David Lewis nephew, Dalton Thomas niece, Brenna Thomas and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Grady Methodist Church with Larry Mote officiating. Casket bearers will be Bert Sherwood, Jason Sherwood, Jim Bob Sherwood, Lee Thomas, Andy Saul, Clint Bunch, Kent Carter, Wayne Carter, and Michael Mote. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Grady Buyers Club, 4011 CR C, Broadview, NM 88112, in memory of Montys love of animals and the youth of his community.
