Myrtle Harvey

Myrtle C. Harvey, 86, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born May 30, 1921 in Sherman, Texas to Lee Parrie Grantland Cain.

She married William Ernest Harvey in 1937 in Clovis. She had been a resident of Clovis the past 70 years, moving to Clovis from Texico. She farmed in Texas and New Mexico and she also helped her husband in many other businesses including gas stations and salvage yards. Her love in life was raising her children and helping to raise her grandchildren.

She is survived by 7 sons, W. E. Dub Harvey Jr. Beatrice, Drue Harvey Janna, Joe Harvey Kathey, Perry Harvey and Gary Harvey Lisa all of Clovis, Glendon Harvey Dorothy of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Ricky Harvey Debbie of Alamogordo, New Mexico; 1 daughter, Cheryl Cates of Clovis; 26 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband August 1, 1998; 1 daughter Becky Diane Harvey; 4 grandchildren; 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be her sons, W. E. Dub Harvey Jr., Drue Harvey, Joe Harvey, Perry Harvey, Gary Harvey and Ricky Harvey.
