Myrtle Peugh

Myrtle Lucille Peugh, long time resident of Clovis, passed away December 14, 2008 in Boerne, Texas, where she had been living for the past two years. Lucille was born September 11, 1924 in Buckholts, Texas, the daughter of Joseph Jackson Love, Sr., and Ella Talbot Love. Lucille grew up in West Texas living in locations such Shallowater, Levelland, and the Whitharral community.

She married Ed Peugh on February 7, 1942 in Lubbock, Texas who was in the farming business. The couple spent several years living in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, and moved to Clovis in 1965 living there for almost 40 years.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, on May 9, 1988 and also by three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by two children, Bob Peugh Patricia of Boerne, Texas; and Betty Peugh of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Alan Peugh and Michelle Peugh Wachsmann of San Antonio, and three great grandchildren; Kelsey, Lauren, and Sean Wachsmann.

Lucille was in the restaurant business for many years in the Clovis area, and subsequently was in the car sales business in Clovis for appr. 25 years working with Big Country Ford and Jones Pontiac GMC.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Steed Todd Chapel with Kenneth Dunsworth officiating burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Steed Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
