Nellie Bonner

Nellie Bonner, age 84, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehab in Clovis, New Mexico.

Nellie was born on October 17, 1927 to Jesse and Ruth Giles Hawkins in Clovis, New Mexico. She graduated from Scott White Nursing School in Temple, Texas. She married Thomas A. Bonner on June 28, 1956 in Clovis New Mexico. He preceded her in death. Nellie was an RN for Drs. Moss, Boese and Abshere. She retired with thirtyone years of service. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Clovis.

She is survived by three sons: Ed Sharon Bonner of Bel Air, Maryland Tommy Marianne Bonner of Wichita Falls, Texas and Jim Melinda Bonner of Clovis, New Mexico ten grandchildren: Michele Moore, Michael Bonner, Mitch Bonner, Heather Ladd, Tiffany Hooker, Thomas Bonner, Jordan Bonner, Blake Bonner, Bethany Bonner, and Tyler Bonner thirteen great grandchildren and one sister: Lois Burmeister.

She is preceded in death by her parents one brother: J.L. Hawkins and one sister: Tina Jolly.

Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at SteedTodd Funeral Home, 800 E. Manana Blvd., Clovis, New Mexico.

Services are 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick Ross, officiating. Interment will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, Clovis, New Mexico.

Casket bearers are Nellies six grandsons: Michael, Mitch, Thomas, Jordan, Blake and Tyler Bonner.
