Nicola "Klaus" Souvandjiev, age 71, of Clovis, NM entered into eternal peace on August 14, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 19, 1947 in Salzburg, Austria to the home of Anton and Ursula (Fabert) Souvandjiev.
Klaus grew up in Salzburg, Austria where he attended school and sold fresh fruit and produce at the market from his father's farm. He was Greek Othodox. Klaus came to Alamogordo, NM in 1964 and was a mechanic and paint and body man. He moved to Clovis from Beeville, TX in August of 2000 and did maintenance for the Clovis Inn until his retirement in April 2015.
Klaus is preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Ursula Souvandjiev and nephew Alan McGregor. He leaves behind his loving wife, Charlotte Souvandjiev of the home; sons, Manuel (Andy) Carbelleira of Corpus Christi, TX, and Mark Wenzel of Colorado; daughters, Silvia (Russell) Cowen of Spicewood, TX and Birgit Niedermayer of Meran, Italy; sister, Angela (Paul) McGregor of Lubbock, TX; niece, Tina Montgomery and great-niece, Amanda (Terry) Breaux of Lubbock, TX.
A memorial service is on Saturday, August 18, 2018, 10:00am in the Steed Todd Funeral Chapel.
