Nona Holloman

June 14, 1932 — March 28, 2014

Nona Beth McDaniel Holloman, 81, of Clovis went to be with Jesus on Friday, March 28, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by family.

She was born June 14, 1932 in Field, NM to Raymond S. and Nora Hattie LaRue McDaniel. Nona attended Eastern New Mexico University where she received her B.A and M.A. degrees. She married Ribble Holloman August 8, 1954. After graduations from Eastern New Mexico University, Ribble and Nona Beth moved to House, New Mexico where they taught school. They moved to Clovis in 1962. Nona Beth spent much of her early married life doing what she loved, being a stay at home mother raising her children and being a homemaker. She spent over 20 years being a teacher and retired from the Texico Public Schools in 1994.

For 42 years Nona Beth was a member of 16th Pile Church of Christ where she was a bible school teacher for many of those years. She was an avid Bible student. Nona Beth treasured family. Her great joy resided in her husband, three children, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ribble Holloman daughter, Jan Ensor and husband, Jace of Ruidoso, New Mexico, son, Scotty Holloman and wife, Terry of Hobbs, New Mexico, daughter, Julie Colella and husband, Joe of Lubbock, Texas recently of Clovis, New Mexico. She is survived by grandchildren, Matthew Ensor and wife, Jennifer of Franklin, Tennessee, Micah Ensor and wife, Natalie of Orange, California, Kristi Pruiksma and husband, Ken of Cedar Park, Texas, Aaron Holloman and wife, Kelli of Roswell, New Mexico, Emily Holloman, of Searcy, Arkansas, Jacob Holloman and wife, Lacey of Midland, Texas, Ashley Colella of Lubbock, Texas and Andrew Colella of Lubbock, Texas. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Vail Ensor, Katy Ensor, Elsie Ensor, Micah Ensor, Vernon Ensor and Simon Holloman. In addition she is survived by treasured friends, Silver Roybal and Brenda Lytle.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014 at SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis with Jim Gammon officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis. Pallbearers are grandsons, Matthew Ensor, Micah Ensor, Aaron Holloman, Jacob Holloman, Andrew Colella and grandson in law, Ken Pruiksma. Honorary Pallbearers are the Bank of Clovis Directors, Officers and Employees and Silver Roybal.
