Services for Nona Sue Hoover age 53 currently of Clovis, New Mexico and formally of Mechanicsville, Maryland will be held Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at 16th and Pile Church of Christ with Eric Dickey and Jim Gammon officiating. Burial will be held in Cheltenham, Maryland at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Sue was born November 30, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico to Bill and Nettie Vance McEndree. She passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Sue graduated from Clovis High School and later went on to attend Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She met Richard Hoover and they married December 22, 1973 in Clovis. She went on with Richard to Germany while he was in the U.S. Air Force. They later moved back to Clovis and then spent time in Japan, Arkansas, again in Germany and finally in Maryland since 1990. She was currently visiting in Clovis with an expected move back when their home sold in Maryland. She worked as a pre-school teacher and then as an office manager for the Federal Government. She retired after 27 years of service. She was attending the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis, loved to cook and loved the people around her.

She is survived by her husband Richard Hoover of Mechanicsville, Maryland; one son Jonathan and wife Lena Hoover of Clovis; one daughter Heather and husband Mark Hirschberg of Mechanicsville; two brothers Tim McEndree of Lubbock, Texas; Willie McEndree of Big Springs, Texas; one sister Anita Anthony of Clovis; two grand daughters Veda Hoover and Hayley Sue Hirschberg of Mechanicsville. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister LaVada McEndree. Memorial contributions maybe made to the American Diabetes Association.
