Opal M. Gentry

Born Opal Marie McIntyre, went to join her Heavenly Father on March 4, 2012. She was born in Eldorado, Oklahoma on July 30, 1928 to Samuel and Lizzie McIntyre. In later years she moved to Clovis, New Mexico where she eventually met and married Mervin Thomas Gentry on May 8, 1960. From this union were born four blessed children: Penny Jean, Mervin Samuel Marty, April Dawn and Patsy Gail. Opal was a housewife and attended Bethel Assembly of God.


She is survived by Penny and her husband, John Clark, Marty Gentry, April Gentry and Patsy and her husband Alex Romero her grandchildren: John R. and Brittany Clark, Debra Clark, Sarah Clark Wallace, Cheyenne Gentry and Vincent and Colin Romero great grandson: Gabriel Clark her sister: Dee Horan and several cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mervin, her parents and sisters: Hattie, Ruby Amy and Annie.

Graveside Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, New Mexico with Glenda Horner officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Wounded Warriors, 1120 Rosemont, Clovis, New Mexico, 88101.
