Oscar Peterson

Oscar Van Peterson, 90, of Logan, NM, passed away on November 9, 2021, in Clovis, NM.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Tuesday November 16, 2021, in the Steed Todd Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday November 17, 2021 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, NM with Curtis Allen of Muleshoe Fellowship officiating.

Oscar was born in Clovis, NM to the home of James Frederick Peterson and LaVega Neely on June 15, 1931. He went to school in Clovis. He married Patricia Louise on June 3, 1957, in Farmington, NM. Oscar graduated from Clovis High School. He then worked as a lineman for Farmer's Electric Co-op for 37 years. Oscar was also a veteran of WWII and served in the Army. He was involved in FFA and 42 leagues.

Oscar is preceded in death by his parents, James Frederick Peterson and LaVega Neely; his wife, Patricia Louise; three brothers, three sisters, as well as numerous nephews.

Oscar is survived by children, JoDonna, Jan, and James; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
