Perle Mack Duncan, 91, a farmer and rancher, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 in his home. He was born on November 23, 1919, in Melrose, NM to Jasper and Ester Duncan.
He married Naomi Vaughn, September 29, 1940 in Clovis, NM, and was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church. P.M. was an active member of the American Hereford Association and helped with the 4H and FFA members with their livestock projects. He worked hard whether it be on the tractor, driving the truck or tending the cattle. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, greatgrandfather and greatgreatgrandfather.
P.M. is preceded in death by his parents two brothers, Ervin and Charlie Duncan one sister,
Ethel Duncan one grandson and one greatgrandson.
He is survived by six children: three daughters, Evangeline and Don Parmelly of Odessa, TX, Jeanette and Charles Love of Pampa, TX, and Vivian and Andy Jaramillo of Los Lunas, NM three sons, David and Tracy Duncan of Gramercy, LA, Don and Vicki of Frisco, TX, and
Doyle Duncan of Texico, NM two sisters, Lillian Dean of Phoenix, AZ, and Wilma and Roy Ploudre of Clovis, NM one brother, Howard and Ann Duncan of Texico, NM 15 grandchildren 20 greatchildren and four greatgreatgrandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2011 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with The Rev. Jim Peabody officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be sent to the New Mexico Christian Childrens Home, Portales, NM 88130, or Plains Regional Medical Center Hospice at 1600 W. 21 St., Clovis, NM 88101, or your favorite charity.
