Pamela Bernier

Pam Sparky Bernier, 51, of Farwell, Texas, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Baptist St. Anthonys in Amarillo, Texas. She was born October 31, 1956 in Lake View, California to Clem Henny Pedersen Bernier.

She was a longtime FarwellTexico resident and owned and operated Spur Restaurant for three years. She was the Dietary Director at Roosevelt General Hospital. One of her greatest loves was softball and she was a member of the USSSA Womens 2009 Hall of Fame. She played 2nd base on the Ultamitt Softball Team for 20 years. She was a member of Portales Altrusa and Jet Bowling League for many years. She was also a member of the Clovis Womens Volleyball Association. She was always the cook in charge at the barbecues. She was an avid camper, loved to fish and spend time with her grandson.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Schjang and Jennifer Baca both of the home; life partner, Othena Smith of the home; 1 brother, Michael Bernier of Las Vegas, Nevada and one grandson, Brooks Leatherwood of the home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her special mom, Juanita Hardage.

Services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis, New Mexico.
