Pansy Moore

Pansy Lee Morris Kelt Moore, 90 years young, went to be with her Precious Lord on May 9, 2012. She was born in Stratford, Oklahoma on January 27, 1922 to Henry and Eula Morris. They came to New Mexico in 1925, where they homesteaded 27 miles west of Ancho, New Mexico. Henry drove a school bus and Eula was a homemaker. Pansy had loving and caring parents. Pansy started first through eighth grades in Ancho, NM. then moved to Carrizozo, NM for high school.

She married Harry E. Kelt in 1939. They had two daughters: Billie Brazell of Clovis, NM and Glenda Avent of Denver, CO. Pansy was and is loved by all who knew her including her family and her church family. She had a personal touch with everyone who knew her. She was a wife, daughter, mother and friend to all, all of whom she met with open arms.

Pansy gave her life to the Lord in 1967 in Ft. Worth, TX at Castleberry Metropolitan Baptist Church with Brother Hugh Atkinson. When she returned to Clovis in 1983, she founded High Plains Baptist Church with Bobby Atwell and has been a member for 20 years.

Pansy is survived by her two daughters: Billie Brazell and Glenda Avent seven grandchildren thirteen great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents one brother Tommy Morris and one sister: Gwenyln Hunt.

Pansy will be missed but will be in our hearts forever.

Funeral Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at High Plains Baptist Church in Clovis, NM with Ruben Alacaron, officiating and Pastor Chris Boatman, assisting. Honorary casket bearers are Dallas Avent, Rusty Conover, Mike Conover, Billy Pease, Ronnie Morris and Ricky Morris. Interment will be at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, NM. Viewing for friends and family will be Thursday, May 17th and Friday, May 18th at SteedTodd Funeral Home.
