PAULINE POLLY SCHILLER, AGE 83, WENT HOME TO BE WITH HER SAVIOR ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2013. SHE WAS BORN ON DECEMBER 9, 1929 TO AJ AND VERA ELLER JONES, IN THE HOME BUILT BY HER GRANDFATHER ELLER, ON THE LAND HE HOMESTEADED WHICH IS NOW CANNON AIR FORCE BASE. POLLY WAS BORN PREMATURELY IN THE WINTER OF 1929, WEIGHING A MERE THREE POUNDS TRULY SHE WAS A MIRACLE BABY.
POLLY ATTENDED BLACKTOWER GRADE SCHOOL, MARSHALL JUNIOR HIGH, AND THEN GRADUATED FROM RANCHVALE HIGH SCHOOL IN 1948. SHE WAS SWEPT OFF HER FEET, FELL IN LOVE WITH BOB SCHILLER AND THEN MARRIED ON NOVEMBER 28, 1948 AT THE RANCHVALE BAPTIST CHURCH.
POLLY ONCE WROTE THAT HER PROUDEST FAMILY MOMENTS WERE THE DAYS HER FOUR DAUGHTERS WERE BORN. NANCY WAS BORN IN DECEMBER, 1949 IN CLOVIS. SOON THEREAFTER, POLLY AND BOB MOVED TO PAWHUSKA, OK AND LEASED A RANCH. PATSY WAS BORN IN JULY, 1952 AND JOYCE IN SEPTEMBER, 1954. IN 1955 THEY RETURNED TO CLOVIS TO HELP GRANDPA CLAUD WITH THE FAMILY FARM. JANICE WAS BORN IN MAY 1958 IN CLOVIS, WHICH COMPLETED OUR FAMILY.
POLLY HAD MANY BUSY, HAPPY YEARS HELPING BOB AND RAISING THEIR FOUR GIRLS. THEY WERE ACTIVE IN THE RANCHVALE BAPTIST CHURCH FOR MANY YEARS AND THEN LATER AT CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH OF CLOVIS. SHE TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL, VACTION BIBLE SCHOOL SANG IN THE CHOIR AND HOSTED MANY PARTIES AND WEDDING AND BABY SHOWERS. SHE WAS A GRACIOUS HOSTESS.
POLLY AND BOB SCHILLER WERE MARRIED ALMOST TWENTYFIVE YEARS WHEN HE DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON JANUARY 7, 1973. AFTER BOB SCHILLERS DEATH, POLLY MET AND MARRIED BOB RIDLEY ON NOVEMBER 22, 1973, AND WERE MARRIED FOR TEN AND A HALF YEARS, UNTIL HIS DEATH ON MAY 14, 1984. IN APRIL OF 1992 POLLY MARRIED RAY BAKER AND THEY WERE MARRIED FOR 17 YEARS.
POLLY ENJOYED HER SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES AT CENTRAL BAPTIST, BEING A MEMBER OF THE GLORY CHOIR, AND SHE MADE EVERYONE FEEL WELCOME AS A GREETER. SHE WAS ALSO ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SENIOR CITIZEN RESIDENT CENTER.
POLLY WAS VERY INVOLVED IN HER CHILDRENS, GRANDCHILDRENS AND GREAT GRANDCHILDRENS LIVES. SHE WAS A CONSTANT SOURCE OF ENCOURAGEMENT TO ALL OF HER FAMILY, CHURCH MEMBERS, FRIENDS AND EVERYONE SHE CAME IN CONTACT. PEOPLE WERE IMMEDIATELY DRAWN TO HER LOVING AND CARING SMILE AND SPIRIT. SHE NEVER MET A STRANGER.
POLLY IS SURVIVED BY HER FOUR DAUGHTERS STILL KNOWN AS THE SCHILLER GIRLS AND SONINLAWS: NANCY GARY SALTZBURG OF CLOVIS PATSY PAUL TANKERSLEY OF CLOVIS JOYCE SWACKHAMMER AND HER BOYFRIEND, DAVID COONROD, OF LEVELLAND, TX AND JANICE DAVID CROSS OF CLOVIS.
POLLY HAS EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN AND SPOUSES WHO LOVED HER SO MUCH SHELLEY VIRGIL GIBBS, LEVELLAND, TX TRACEE THOMAS MARTIN, CLOVIS, NM STACEY BRANDON MITCHELL, WOLFFORTH, TX KEVIN MEGAN TANKERSLEY, GILBERT, AZ SHERRI CAMPOS, RIO RANCHO, NM HEATHER ERIC DINSMORE, ANCHORAGE, AK KELI CROSS, ANCHORAGE, AK AND JUSTIN CRYSTAL SALTZBURG, TEMPLE, TX.
POLLY HAS FOURTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: BROOKE THETFORD JACKSON, HUNTER AND STETSON GIBBS TJ GREGG BRADEN SAMANIEGO BRITTON MITCHELL, EMERSON TANKERSLEY CAMRYN AND MCKENZIE LOVATO ALEXIS AND MORGAN CAMPOS TRISTYN AND DANICA DINSMORE.
SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY MANY FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS WHO REFERRED TO HER AS MAMA POLLY AND GRANDMA POLLY WHO LOVED HER DEARLY.
POLLY IS PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY HER GIRLS DADDY BOB SCHILLER, BOB RIDLEY AND RAY BAKER HER SONINLAW, DAVID SWACKHAMMER AND GRANDSONINLAW MATT THETFORD, HER PARENTS AJ AND VERA JONES AN INFANT SISTER, BEATRICE A SPECIAL AUNT AND UNCLE GB AND NORA OETKEN AND HER INLAWS, CLAUD AND ESTHER SCHILLER.

ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2013 AT CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH IN CLOVIS, NEW MEXICO WITH PASTOR ALAN MCALISTER OFFICIATING AND BOBBY JACK STEWART ASSISTING. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT LAWN HAVEN MEMORIAL GARDENS IN CLOVIS, NM. CASKET BEARERS ARE KEVIN TANKERSLEY, JUSTIN SALTZBURG, THOMAS MARTIN, VIRGIL GIBBS, BRANDON MITCHELL AND ERIC DINSMORE. HONORARY CASKET BEARERS ARE CHARLIES ANGELS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS, THE MEMBERS OF THE GLORY CHOIR, GRANDDAUGHTERS AND GRANDDAUGHTERSINLAW.
