Peggy Cardwell

Peggy Jo Cardwell, age 87, of Socorro, NM entered into the gates of Heaven on November 25, 2018 in Logan, NM. She was born on December 11, 1930 to the home of Robert and Vearl May in Hollis, OK.

Peggy was married to the love of her life, John Henry Rodric Cardwell, for 68+ years. He is a WWII veteran who served as a Tanker Sailor in the 7th fleet of the US Navy. Together their love for each other created a loving family. She adored her husband and loved her family deeply. She dedicated her time after retirement from the local grocery store in Socorro to being active in her grandchildren's lives. Peggy dedicated her time to taking them to practices, school activities and music lessons. She loved having the opportunity to take them on trips, camping, fishing, hunting, arts & craft shows and to church. Peggy loved cooking, canning, sewing, painting, making arts & crafts and especially hunting for crystals. She always saw the best in everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and thought of often.

Preceding her death are her parents; daughters, Debra Seeton and Jennifer and her husband John Wark; brothers, Robert John May, James Cooper May, and Melton Samuel May.

She leaves behind her loving husband, John Cardwell of the home; son, Robert (Karen) Cardwell; sisters, Mildred Vearlen Cassady, Emma Ethel Cassady, Vearl Green and Betty Sue Ellick; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place.
