Peggy Hargrove

Peggy Louise Hargrove, 80, of Farwell, Texas passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, October 23 at First Baptist Church in Farwell. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell. Visitation will be October 22 and 23 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, New Mexico.

Peggy was born November 7, 1926, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Willie and Bonnie Williams. She graduated from Farwell High School in 1944 and then attended Texas Tech. She married Elmer Hargrove on March 7, 1947. Peggy enjoyed sports, animals and reading. She also enjoyed traveling and went on numerous trips with family and friends. She loved watching her kids and grandkids play ball and attended more games than can be counted over the years. She was an avid Texas Tech supporter and had season tickets to football for almost 60 years and to basketball for over 35 years.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Elmer; daughter Deb and husband Philip Troost of Lake Arthur, NM; son Greg and wife Shannon Hargrove of Ft. Worth; sons Brett Hargrove and Kevin Hargrove, both of Lubbock; 5 granchildren, Amy, Vida, Meredith, Sarah and Scott; 2 great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Ava; and brother Don and wife Liz Williams of Farwell. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Casket bearers will be Vernon Scott, Jerry Herington, Charles Wade Norton, Larry Erwin, Eddie Meeks, Clay Williams Scott Hargrove. Honorary casket bearers will be Marilyn Edwards, Carrie Anderson, Liz Williams, Ometa Scott, Mona Hardage, Dardanella Helton Betty Gonzales.
