Peggy Horton

Peggy Horton, 81 passed away at home on July 24, 2019. She was born November 23, 1937 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Sylvester and Jeannette Tinker.

Peggy graduated from Clovis High School in 1956 and later married her husband, Corky Horton in November of 1956 in Clovis, NM. They had two wonderful sons, Jackie and Rocky Horton. She served Sandia and Zia elementary schools as a secretary for many great years. She loved each and every one of her students and coworkers.

Peggy was a long-time member at Central Baptist Church. She served as an auxiliary volunteer at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM. Peggy also enjoyed being outdoors, and planting flowers in her yard. She was a loving and gracious, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Sylvester Merl Tinker and Jeannette Tinker, her husband, Corky Horton, and son, Rocky Horton.

She is survived by her lovely twin sister Patsy Phyfe and her husband Lawson Phyfe, her son Jackie (Cheryl) Horton, daughter in law, Suzahn Horton, lifelong best friend, Pat Williams, and four precious grandchildren Sydnee, Tanner, Rockell, and Ruger Horton.
