Phillip Moore

Phillip Lee Moore of Clovis, New Mexico, died on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at the age of 61 at Plains Regional Hospital, surrounded by family.

Phillip was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Kenneth and Mozella Moore on August 14, 1954.

He was raised in Clovis by Charles and Mozella Bell along with his two brothers Richard Allan Moore and Kenneth Raymond Moore Jr and sister Kay Burch. Phillip graduated from Clovis High School in 1972 and enjoyed playing French Horn in the Clovis High School Concert and Marching Band.

On December 8, 1973 he was united in marriage to his loving wife Deborah Ann Moore of Clovis, who preceded him in death. After graduating, Phillip joined the family business as a butcher at Capitol Foods of Farwell, TX and retired at S&S Supermarket as a butcher.

Phillip was known as a hard worker and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. He was always willing to help those in need (especially if they were stuck in a ditch). Phillip also enjoyed hunting friends, tending to and riding horses, and riding his motorcycle.

Phillip is survived by his daughter Brandy and husband Todd Rudin of Greensboro, NC; son Brandon and wife Janna Moore of Clovis, NM; grandchildren Chase, Taylor, and Jordan Rudin, Dillon and Tyler Moore; sister Kay Burch; father in law James D Taylor and mother in law Thelma Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Deborah Ann Moore of Clovis, NM; father Charles Bell; mother Mozella Bell; brothers Richard Allan Moore and Kenneth Raymond Moore Jr.

Visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, at Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. at Advent Christian Church, 2101 E. 21st in Clovis, NM, Saturday October 24, with Sam Walsh officiating.
