R. Walker

Dr. R. Gene Walker died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at his home.
He was 84 years old.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Clovis, NM. Pastor Jeb Archey will officiate.
Gene was born in Clovis, NM on May 6, 1933 to Roy and Geno Walker.
He was a beloved dentist in Clovis, serving the community for 58 years. He was active in Clovis civic affairs including Rotary Club. He was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church of Clovis, serving on various church committees.
Gene is survived by his wife of 63 years, Phyllis Lee Walker.
Also his children Mike Walker (Shanna) of Clovis,
Laura Hampton (Leon) of Garland, Texas and Jeff Walker
(Debbie) of Prosper, Texas.
His grandchildren Shayne Walker (Sherry) of Clovis, Molly
Walker of Clovis, Tori Walker of Prosper, Texas and Travis
Walker of Austin, Texas.
One great grandchild Jace Walker of Clovis.
Also a brother-in-law Jim Shaffer of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Geno Walker, brother Lyle Walker, in-laws Terry and Eugenia Lee, sister-in-law Helen Shaffer and a grandson Christopher Walker.

The family request that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church memorial fund, 1501 Sycamore, Clovis, NM 88101.
