Rachel Chandler

January 21, 1922 — July 1, 2014

Rachel L. Chandler age 92 of Broadview, New Mexico passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Prairie Acres Nursing Home in Friona, Texas. She was born January 22, 1922 in Warren, Pennslyvania to Ralph Lee and Grace Geneiviene Porter Gray. Rachel was a homemaker farm wife and member of Broadview Nazarene Church where she played the organ and was a missionary leader. Rachel graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 1958 in Practical Arts and Letters. Rachel worked at Boston Nazarene Mission, the Nazarene Indian School from 19601964 as a dietician. She married Robert Hoage Chandler June 15, 1964 at the Nazarene Parsonage in Broadview, New Mexico.

She is survived by her Brothers and Sisters Russel Gray, James Gray, Dorian Gray, and Madeline Colvin, 53 nieces and nephews, and numerous great and greatgreat nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband Robert Hoage Chandler, brothers and sisters Helen Titsworth, Melvin Gray, Paul Gray, Herman Gray, Merle Gray, Adelle Mead and Wendell Gray.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Broadview Nazarene Church in Broadview, New Mexico with Pastor Stephen Lord officiating. Burial will follow at the Hollene Cemetery in Hollene, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Steve Bailey, Chayson Lord, Bryce Bailey, Seth Bailey, Jacob Bley, Hank Bailey, Issac Bailey, Mike Bailey, and Allen Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her family.
