Ramona Apodaca, 83, of Clovis, died Wedenesday, April 26, 2006 at her home. Born March 30, 1923, in La Palma, she was the daughter of Alcario and Paulita Dominguez.brbrA life member of the VFW Auxiliary, family members said she fed wild birds, loved children. crocheted, sewed, did puzzles, beaded bracelets.brbrShe was preceded in death by her husband, Timoteo Apodaca; her parents; and a sister, Anna Garcia.brbrShe is survived by her son, Ernesto Apodaca of Clovis; her daughters, Patricia Porcher of California and Lucy Martinez of Dora; a sister, Tomasita Chavez of Encino; a brother, Celestino Dominguez of Portales; four grandchildren, Billy Moller and Amber Porcher, both of California, Larry Martinez of Phoenix and Luke Martinez of Clovis; and numerous nieces and nephews. brbrThe rosary will be recited before services at 10:30 a.m., Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Father Sotro Sena will be the celebrant. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.brbrPallbearers will be her nephews, Carlos Duran, and Pat, Enrique, Jerry, Juan, and Felipe Jaramillo. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family.brbrMemorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.brbrArrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
