Raymond Baby Ray Hernandez 61 died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at LubbockbrHeart Hospital. He was born July 27, 1943 in Clovis to Raymond and Frances KikabrHemandez. brbrHe is survived by his wife, Mary Hernandez; six siblings Ruben TeresabrHernandez, A1 Raquel Hernandez, Dewey Katherine Anaya, Mary Martinez, PambrGary Banister, Dora Manuel Garcia and Darlene Coelho; mother-inlaw LitabrGonzales; brother-in-law, Tommy Lala Gonzales; two sisters-in-law, Julia Gonzalesbrand Rosella Gonzales; niece Bernice Matthew Blanton and children Lisa, Justine andbrHay-Hay; nephew Dino Jennifer Gonzales and children Timothy, Cory and Adam;brMarijo Baca, a close friend; Carmen Vazquez and children Maria, Marcos and Yeseniabra dear friend and long time employee of Hernandez Tax, Inc.; and, many other loving andbrcaring friends and relatives.brbrRay was preceded in death by his son Ronald Ronnie Ray Hernandez, his fatherbrRaymond Hernandez, Sr., his mother Frances Kika Anaya, and stepfather Bill Anaya.brbrRay was retired from the railroad where he worked as a conductor. Following retirementbrhe assisted with the operation of Hernandez Tax, Inc., a local business owned andbroperated by his wife. He had many leisure time interests but was especially passionatebrabout restored classic cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and the game of poker. In thebrpursuit of his hobbies he was a long time member of the Desert Cruzers, a local car club,brand a frequent participant in poker tournaments held in Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV.brbrThe memorial service will be Saturday, March 5 at 12:00 PM at Steed-Todd Chapel. Abrreception will follow the service.
