Raymond H. Rodgers age 85 of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born September 22, 1922 in Rotan, Texas to Henry and Jewel Parker Hannon. He served in the Marines during WWII. He married Edith Summitt July 4, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked as a carpenter for 35 years and retired in 1972. He lived in Sacramento, California for many years and moved to Clovis in 2002. He loved his family and loved old cars. He attended the Church of Christ and was a past member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his daughter Carol and her husband Rick Knowles of Clovis; one brother Chester Rodgers of Memphis, Texas; three sisters Faye Booth, and Iris Davis both of Memphis, Texas; Dorothy White of Idaho; two grandchildren Angela and husband Juan Lopez of Clovis; Denise and husband Mark Owens of Elkgrove, California; four great grandchildren Kayla Barela; Jeremy Harbert; Cassie Moore; and Cameron Owens; one great-great grandchild Desiree Venegas. He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Rodgers in 2004.
