Richard Belcher

Richard Wendell Belcher, 82 of Moriarty, NM died Sunday May 17, 2015.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday May 20, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Melrose, NM. Interment will be at 4:00pm at the Inez Cemetery, in Inez, NM.

He was born in Rogers, NM, May 9, 1933 to Ralph and Ola Belcher. He married Pansy Matlock on June 16, 1957 at Grady, NM. They made their home and raised their children in the Rogers Community for 30 years. For the past 27 years they lived in Moriarty New Mexico. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Moriarty. His passion in life has been his family and raising animals (of every kind). Richard served in the Army from May 1953 to April 1955 during the Korean War. He
graduated from New Mexico State University in 1961.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife Pansy Belcher of Moriarty, NM, Wendell (Glenda) Belcher of Melrose, NM, Stephanie (Milton) Romans of Moriarty, NM, Gregory (Tracy) Belcher of Girard, KS, and Madison (Elizabeth) Belcher of Texico, NM. He has eleven grandchildren; Tyler (Sally) Belcher, Ryan Belcher, Aaron (Devanee) Belcher, Kelsey (James) Collins, Shiloh Sap, Kaleb Belcher, McKenna Belcher, Kendell Belcher; Kaden Belcher, Madison Belcher and Truman Belcher. Six great grandchildren; Pyper Eastyn and Decon Belcher, Rustin Belcher, Peyton and Chloe Collins. One sister LaDoris (Charles) Good of Elida, NM, two brothers Tex (Rosalie) Belcher of Clovis, NM , and Lloyd (Carla) Belcher of Houston, TX. Many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4-H or FFA.
