Riley Douglas Brewer

Riley Douglas “Doug” Brewer age 74 passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at his home in Clovis New Mexico.

Doug was born March 21, 1947 in Clovis New Mexico to Riley and Inez (Overturf) Brewer.

Doug found his passion in law-enforcement and worked in New Mexico and Texas. He was Chief of Police in Floydada, Texas until he was injured and had to resign. Doug loved being around people and anyone who met Doug couldn’t help but love him.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Beth Howard and wife Sharon Bauman, his parents Riley and Inez Brewer, sisters Pat Mason and Vicki Morris, brother Terry Brewer, daughter Debbie Elmore, granddaughter Heather Bauman and grandson Michael Foote. He is survived by his daughters Connie Boydston of Arizona, Mary Craig of Portales NM and Laurie Gafford of Lubbock TX, sons Tony Bauman and Kevin Bauman of Lubbock TX, brothers Jim Brewer of Yuma Az, Don (Sherri) Brewer of Clovis and sister Denise (Ron) Barnes of Clovis NM, 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

No memorial services will be held and cremation has taken place.

The Family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for all the wonderful nurses and staff who took care of our loved one. They were there for him every step of the way and we appreciate them greatly.
