Robert Vincent Brewer, 73, of Clovis, died Friday, November 11, 2005, at Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield, Texas. He was born September 19, 1932, to Forrest and Mary Brewer in Wheeling, West Virginia.brbrHe married Melba Swinford on December 19, 1987, in Clovis. He retired after 23 years as a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Eastern New Mexico University and taught special education at Clovis High School for 17 years before retiring in 1994.brbrHe loved old cars and was a member of the Desert Cruisers Auto Club. He was also a member of the Community of Christ Church in Clovis.brbrHe is preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Brewer; and a sister, Ida Mae Smith.brbrSurvivors include his wife; a brother, Joseph Brewer of Nokomis, Florida; two sons, Patrick Brewer of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Mark Brewer and wife, Kelly of Carlsbad; a daughter, Lisa Polk of Lake Jackson, Texas; a stepson, David Swinford Robin of Montclair, California; two granddaughters, Rachel Francis and Sarah Brewer; and three grandsons, Jeffrey, Bradley and Joshua Swinford.brbrA memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2005 at Steed-Todd Chapel with Billy Don Price officiating.brbrArrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home, 800 E.
