Robert Hopingardner

Robert Lee Hopingardner, age 86, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away September 15, 2015 in Muleshoe, Texas.

Robert was born May 18, 1929 in Bovina, Texas. He graduated from Bovina High School. Robert married Virginia Craig on May 24, 1972 in Clovis, New Mexico. Robert was a simple man who loved hunting and spending time with his grandkids. He was also a volunteer for the Bovina Fire Department for many years, and helped cook for Bulltown Days.

Robert is survived by his wife Virginia, one brother Willis J. Hopingardner, and three step daughters Charlotte Adams and Valerie Urban of Clovis, and Victoria Wenzel of Charleston, South Carolina. Seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents T.J and Sadie Hopingardner, four sisters Dorothy Blaylock, Mildred Blaylock, Gladys Whitesides, and Eula Cox, and step-son John Adams.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Steed-Todd Chapel with Reverend Jim Kelly, officiating. Burial will follow at Bovina Cemetery in Bovina, Texas.
