Robert Kirby

Robert Bob Bruce Kirby passed away on March 8, 2014 at the age of 78 in Midland, Texas. He was born on January 28, 1936 in Crowley, LA and graduated from Hobbs, NM in 1954.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lue Kirby. They were residents of Midland, TX since 1978. He is also survived by one son, Bruce Kirby of Clovis, NM and two daughters, Theresa Rhoades of Hobbs, NM and Jane Murphey of Arlington, TX as well as 14 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren, and 2 greatgreatgrandchildren.

Bob and Lue attended the Christian Church, and he was an Honorable Christian man. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and was active with the youth in Church, Little League Baseball, Pee Wee Football and other youth activities.

He was well loved and will be long remembered.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Midland, TX.
