Robert Lockhart, 76, of Clovis, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.
He was born March 5, 1934 in Mineral, Washington to Herman and Maude Adams Lockhart.
He grew up in Washington and enlisted in the U. S. Air Force after graduating from High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 20 years. He was in the Alaskan Air Command while in Alaska and served a tour in Thailand during Vietnam. He married Nancy Hall in Rapid City, South Dakota. He retired from the Air Force at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis. After he retired from the Air Force, he worked at Swift Beef Packing for 5 years and owned and operated Logan Park Marina in Logan, New Mexico. He sold the marina in 1995. He moved to Clovis for his full retirement. He was a member of the VFW and an Elder member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clovis.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Clovis 1 son, Bill Lockhart Sharon of Reeds Springs, Missouri 1 brother, Don Lockhart of Eugene, Oregon grandchildren, Kyle Swann Kim of California, Sarah Lockhart of Willard Missouri, and Ray Lockhart of Reeds Springs, Missouri 1 great greatgranddaughter, Penelope Bloom Chapman of Willard, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter, Susan Lockhart on October 31, 2000.
