Robert Marks

Robert Butch Lloyd Marks, 69 of Clovis, NM passed away Friday May 24th at his home. His family would like to invite you to help us celebrate his life at SteedTodd Funeral home on Saturday, June 1st at 5pm.

Robert was born in Clovis on July 4th, 1943 to Roy Leon Marks and Dorothy H. Marks Heinz. He was raised on the family farm between Clovis and Texico. He graduated Clovis High in 1961 and attended college at NMSU in Las Cruces where he studied Agronomy. He met and married Lynn Hyatt and had two children, Randall Lane and Christina Lese. Robert spent time in the U.S. Army, learned to fly airplanes and then came home and worked on the family farm. He spent most of his life running his own carpet cleaning business though his real passion was photography.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Heinz Marks, and his father Roy Leon Marks of Clovis. He is survived by three sisters Sandra Mueller of Boston, MA, Nancy Lavery of Ridgewood, NJ and Kay Locke of Pinetop, AZ as well as his two children, Randall Marks of Roy, WA and Christina Turner of Las Cruces, NM as well as 5 grandchildren Jerod, Annie, Timothy, Ethan and Cole and 2 great grandchildren Emmitt and James and his beloved dog Terry.
