Graveside Services for Robert Bob Skaggs age 91, of Clovis, New Mexico will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Mission Garden of Memories with Eugene Guthals officiating. Bob was born June 29, 1921 in Roswell, New Mexico to Robert and Vena Hines Skaggs. He graduated in 1940 from Clovis High School and went in serve in the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Bob married Marie Riley April 12, 1947 in Clovis, New Mexico. Bob worked as a clerk for the Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years and was a member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge in Clovis. He was a huge football fan and liked the Dallas Cowboys.

Bob is survived by his daughter Lynette Wood of Portales, New Mexico two sons Jimmy Richard Skaggs of Clovis, New Mexico, and Bill Nancy Skaggs of Carrolton, Texas two grandchildren Cindy Behne of the Colony, Texas Lance Wood of Portales, New Mexico four great grandchildren Dax Behne, Zane Behne, Vanna Behne and Trent Wood brother and sister in law Earl and Marlene Riley of Clovis, New Mexico, James Riley of Midland, Texas, and Betty and Eugene Guthals of Clovis, New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and one sister Ernestine Warmock.
