Robert Watson

alignjustify Robert Wayne Watson, 36, of Clovis, NM, passed away at Covenant Lakeside Hospital in Lubbock, Texas on June 19, 2007 following a sudden and difficult battle with Leukemia. Robert was born November 26, 1970 in Denver, Colorado to Peggy Arrington Watson and David Wayne Watson. His family moved to Clayton, New Mexico and Robert grew up there until he graduated from Clayton High School in 1989. He then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he married Martie Palmer, also of Clayton on December 16, 1989. Robert was a member of the Army National Guard for six years. He followed his childhood dream by becoming a journeyman electrician in 1991. In 1994, Robert moved his family to Clovis, New Mexico where he continued to work as a journeyman electrician. Robert worked for ACW Electric the last 11 years and was well-known and respected in the community. Robert was a 2005 graduate of Clovis Community College and was pursuing his bachelor's degree at ENMU. He was an active member of Sandia Baptist Church in Clovis as well as an active member of Eastern New Mexico Tae Kwon Do in Portales, NM.

alignjustify Robert was preceded in death by two sons Spencer Ward Watson and Garrett Carter Watson, both of Albuquerque, NM; his dad, David Watson of Denver, Colorado, his maternal grandfather, George Arrington of Clayton, NM; and paternal grandparents Robert and Hazel Watson of Clayton, NM, and Stanley and Cleo Seagroves of Muleshoe, TX.

alignjustify Robert is survived by: his wife, Martie of Clovis and four daughters, Jamie Blocker Jason of Clovis, Tabatha Potter John of Bullhead City, Arizona, and Tatiana and Holli Watson, both of the home in Clovis; one grandson James Dwight Blocker of Clovis and one granddaughter of Arizona due to arrive in October; his parents, Jim and Peggy Seagroves of Muleshoe, TX, and grandmother, Eloise Arrington, of Clayton, NM; three brothers, Ben Seagroves Shannon of Muleshoe, TX, Jarrett Seagroves of Roswell, NM, and Devern Nicole Younger of Bertrand, Nebraska; one sister Rene Seagroves of Hagerman, NM; in-laws Bev and James Skiles of Clayton, NM, Larry and Pam Palmer of Mansfield, TX and Judy and SC Fudge of Mount Vernon, IL; sisters-in-law Tami Gover Brett, Stacie Palmer, and Hayley Palmer, and brother-in-law Larry Palmer II, all of the Mansfield area. He was loved by numerous extended family members as well as a long list of adopted children and many friends.

alignjustify Services will be held at Sandia Baptist Church in Clovis on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jason Schwope officiating and Rev. Billy Rammage assisting, graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Clayton, NM.

alignjustify Casket Bearers will be Wilber Jones, James Chacon, Scott Eisenbeisz, Serafin Ramirez, Ray Reeser, and Kevin Fisher. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Kirk Keller, Ben Seagroves, Jarrett Seagroves, Devern Younger, Jason Blocker, Brett Gover, Terry Hastings, Kelly Ashcraft, Steve Blakeley, Paul Reed, Jay Brady, Jack Whitfield, Drew Rush, Chris Journey, Ty Moyers, Bill Ski Macejewski, Mike Raines, Howard Blake, Mike Stout, and Bryon Power.
