Roberta Jones

Roberta Lynn Jones, 59, of Clovis, N.M. was winning her battle with Bipolar Disease when she lost her battle with Cancer with her family at her side at St. Anthony's Health Care and Rehab where she was given loving care.

Roberta was born in Santa Barbara, California to Gordon and Barbara Jean Garcia. She married Howard Jones in 1982, and they had one son, Jeffrey who was the light of her life. Roberta and Howard divorced, and Roberta remained single. Roberta worked as a waitress for several years in California. She moved to Clovis to be near her Sister where she worked as a cashier in the Walmart Garden Center for several years until she became disabled with COPD.

She was preceded in death by her Sister, Dana Lee Garcia, and her Grandparents. She is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Barbara Jones; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff Jones and Erica Nichole Cavazos ; three Grandchildren, Xavier, Jacob, and Lyla Jones; her Nephew, Michael Garcia; her ex husband, Howard Jones; Aunt Lynn and Uncle Arthur Montandon, Uncle William Fairfax, and many cousins who she loved very much.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Parkland Baptist Church, 921Parkland Dr, Clovis, NM with a private family lunch to follow.
