Rocky Horton, 44, of Texico, New Mexico, died Sunday, December 23, 2007 in Farwell, Texas. He was born April 25, 1963 in Clovis, New Mexico to Corky and Peggy Tinker Horton.
He was raised in Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School in 1982. He attended Clovis Community College where he received his Associates degree. He married Suzahn Inman June 6, 1992 in Clovis, New Mexico. He owned and operated a car wash, Sparklin Wash Mighty Vac Pumping Service. He was a member of Muleshoe Cowboy Fellowship. He loved to hunt, fish and ride four wheelers with his kids.
He is survived by his wife, Suzahn Horton of the home in Texico; 1 daughter, Rockell Horton of the home; 1 son, Ruger Horton of the home; 1 brother, Jackie Horton of Clovis; his mother, Peggy Horton of Clovis; 2 nieces, Sydnee Horton Holly Inman; 1 nephew, Tanner Horton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marlon Karolene Inman; uncle, Jim Towns and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Brent Lisa Inman. He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Central Baptist Church in Clovis with Steve Friskup and Dusty Leatherwood officiating. Interment was held at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Casket bearers will be Marlon Inman, Brent Inman, Jackie Horton, Layne Norris, Craig Johnson, Mark Boatman, Leroy Lucero and Buddy Mullinax. Honorary casket bearers will be Harold Johnson, Kay Harmon, Jim Hobbs and the Monday Tuesday Mornings Men Bible Study groups.
