Roland Quintin Quam was born on April 17, 1932 in Shevlin, MN to the home of Anna Marie Matson Walker and Joseph Elmer Quam.
Roland grew up in the Bagley, MN area and spent a few years in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba working on farms as a young man. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life. He was a Jack of all trades, there wasn't anything he couldn't do. He was always willing to lend a hand to whoever needed it. Roland served in the US Army from November 24, 1954 until November 7, 1956 in Black Forest in Germany. During his time, he received the Good Conduct medal.
Roland married Dorothy Joan Quam in 1956 at Virginia Beach, Virginia and they were married for 32 years. He had two children, named Barbara Price (Scott Raeker) of Strandquist, MI, and Ronald Quam (Diane Quam) of Logan, NM. Roland also had two grandchildren, Jacob Price (Stacy), and Cassandra Klein (Andy).
Roland and a few friends started Sno-Tracker Snowmobile Club in Lakeville, MN. He loved to work on anything with a motor, from cars to tractors, and snowmobiles. Roland also loved hunting, fishing, camping, karaoke, and Nascar. He always had a story to share and a smile for friends and family. even into his 80s, he kept busy working on small projects or fixing vehicles for his friends and family.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, and Anna Marie; his sister, Donna Boyer; brother, Joesph Quam; wife, Dorothy Quam; his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Roland is survived by his son, Ronald Quam and his wife Diane Quam; daughter, Barbara Price; sister, Myrna Carlson; and his partner, Judy Welch.

Services for Roland will be on November 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Logan Assembly of God.
