Ronald E. Harvey, 83, of Clovis, New Mexico, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas with his family by his side.
A visitation will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico at 10:30am on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 with Damon Pearce and Kenneth Heck officiating. A burial will take place at a later date.
Ronald was born in Caddo, Texas to R.B. and Ann Harvey on September 15, 1932. He graduated from Electra High School in Electra, Texas. He married Margaret Richardson on August 2, 1953, in Electra, Texas and was happily married for over 62 years. He was in the Army from 1953-1955. He then worked at Cannon Air Force base in Civil Services for 35 years. He was a dedicated member of Central Baptist Church in Clovis. He loved hunting, gardening, building bird houses, and fishing at Oasis Park, Ned Houk and especially Lake Isabelle in Colorado. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ronald is preceded in death by both of his parents R.B. and Ann Harvey, his twin brother Donald and his granddaughter Natasha Dawn Harvey.
Ronald is survived by his wife Margaret, his son Keith Harvey (Sue), his daughter Karen Kirk, his grandchildren Matthew Harvey (LaDonna), Eric Phillips, Ryan Kirk, Scott Kirk (Dawn), Tammy Wolske (Matt), Traci Sparks (Cody) and Terry Sanders (Crystal), nephews Rick Harvey (Cindy), Mike Harvey and Keith Harvey (Carrie), nieces Debbie Gitchell, and Cindy Hopkins and many great-grandchildren.
Honorary bearers will be Matthew Harvey, Eric Phillips, Ryan Kirk, Scott Kirk, Terry Sanders, Matt Wolske and Cody Sparks.
In Memorial, donations may be given to Baptist Children's Home in Portales, New Mexico.
The family of Ronald Harvey wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his home health nurse Hope Moyers. Ronald will be missed dearly by many friends and family.
