Rosa Mcadoo

Rosa Lue McAdoo, 79, of Clovis, New Mexico, entered into eternal life Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born September 24, 1928 in Cumbland, Marshall County, Oklahoma to John and Sophie Luttrell Watterson.

She married Alvah D. McAdoo June 28, 194 5 in Kingston, Marshall County, Oklahoma. She had been a longtime resident of Clovis and worked for H R Block for 31 years until her death. She was a faithful lifetime minister with the Church of God of Prophecy. She loved her family and her church family. She was a dedicated christian and ministered to anyone who was in need.

She is survived by her husband, A. D. McAdoo of the home in Clovis; 1 son, Bob McAdoo Sandy of Durant, Oklahoma; 4 sisters, Marie Urquhart Glen and Paula Bull Luther all of Lubbock, Texas, Mary Tharp Don of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Winnie Floyd of Fort Worth, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Watterson of Quitman, Texas; 2 grandsons, Bob McAdoo II Melody of Durant, Oklahoma and Daniel McAdoo of Lorain, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, John Floyd Watterson Jr. and James Watterson; 2 sisters, Ethel Watterson and Beulah Mae Lindley and 1 grandson, Andrew Dean Ray McAdoo.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 18 at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be her family.
