Roseann "Ann" Nation (née Grimes) passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, August 24, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska at Brookestone Meadows Long-term Care facility surrounded by her family following a long battle with COPD.
Ann was born in Clovis, New Mexico to William T. Grimes, Jr. and Imogene Delaney Grimes on September 10, 1950. Ann's family were long-term residents of the Clovis-Grady area as well as the Leland, Mississippi area. Ann was a graduating member of the Clovis High School Class of 1968, member of the Clovis High School band and accomplished saxophone player while in high school. Ann earned her Associates Degree and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1970. Ann also loved playing the piano, oil painting, cooking, going to the Conchas and Ft. Sumner lake and playing 42.
Ann retired from Citizens Bank of Clovis New Mexico after 36 years in 2018.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Dale Nation, parents, brothers Chris Jehnsen, and Billy Grimes. and grandson Tristan Hays. Ann is survived by her sister, Barbara Brown of Alba, Texas; daughters Rebecca (Becky) Carney McKittrick-Mason (Mike) of Omaha, Nebraska and Terri Nation (Steve) of Clovis, New Mexico; Grandsons Ryan McKittrick, Matthew McKittrick and Noah Mason of Omaha, Nebraska; Bryce (Mandy) Fillpot of Lubbock, Texas; Baron Fillpot of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Granddaughter Shannon (Curtis) Clemmer of Stephenville, Texas and nephews and nieces.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Steed-Todd Funeral Home. A visitation with the family will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28 with services to be had at 2:00 pm followed by graveside services at the Grady Cemetery in Grady, New Mexico. Services will be officiated by Dustin Burrow of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers are Mike Mason, Ryan McKittrick, Matthew McKittrick, Bryce Fillpot, Baron Fillpot.
Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Yurasek and Noah Mason.
