Rosetta Garcia, 41, born March 28, 1968 and passed away September 25, 2009 after battling a long term illness. She was born at home in Clovis to Rosa Garcia and Theo Johnson. She was a longtime Clovis resident and was employed as a student teacher before her illness. She endeavored to be a teacher and was on that path.
She graduated from Clovis High School in 1985 and from Clovis Community College in 1998 with an Associates Degree. She loved being with her kids, sports and playing Sudoku.
Rosetta is survived by one son Joey M. Garcia of Lubbock, Texas; a daughter Elisia Janee Lewis of Clovis; her mother Rosa Garcia of Clovis; four brothers Steve Pricilla Garcia of Clovis; Luis Garcia of Leavenworth, Kansas; James Dina Garcia of Clovis; Mark Garcia of Clovis; three sisters Christine Coursey of Clovis, Diana Wathen of Clovis; and Dororthy Jesus Macias of Greeley, Colorado; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Stones Community Church of the Nazarene in Clovis with David Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be Henry Chavez, Robert Salinas, Ray Zuniga, Allen Hicks Jr., Nick Garcia, Jesus Macias, Jessie Crisp and Charlie Crisp.
